Hi all! Wow it’s been a while since I posted anything about my writing! There is good reason for this – life stuff, family stuff, daytime job stuff – it all adds up as you know. But the good news is through it all I have been hard at work on my second book. It’s taken three years to get the story where I want it to be, and I can’t wait to share it with you! As you see a few posts back, this one is about Lucy, our introverted artist. She’s a really cool kid, but she just doesn’t know it yet. She has a lot to learn about herself and her family. And you could say the same thing about her mom.
But here’s the thing: I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD WRITE THIS BOOK! It’s a bit ethereal, and there might actually be a ghost in there somewhere – not my usual go to. Even the new title isn’t what I expected. The plot line and resulting story arcs just sort of happened along the way. That doesn’t necessarily mean it all randomly came together, I promise. Rather, I learned a few things about myself while writing this book and well, I think that’s pretty cool – and unexpected.
So, Now What?
Well, I plan to release the book in APRIL!
I’ll reveal the title and the cover art in the coming weeks, as well as some exciting news about a planned appearance at Maxima Books in Lexington for Independent Bookstore Day on April 27th – more to follow on that soon. Thank you so much for your support of my writing along the way!
